Stythian magazine 1978 refers to LB being presented with a gold watch for 21 years of service. This makes his starting date 1957, but the first record of his presence in the Stythian magazine is in 1962! 1962 confirmed in Mears Early History, but possibly 1961 (Mears p.79). Date 1957 confirmed by Mrs Doreen Read - Baytopp was already here when her son started at the College in 1958.
