This is the earliest Founders' Day programme held by the Archive. It appears that this standard format was followed for a number of years and that the programmes were re-used each year.
1964 Motion to the Conference of the Methodist Church submitted by the Heads of the four schools represented on the Committee for European Education. The document consists of two parts: the motion and then a short letter outlining the purpose of the motion and signed by Miss Susie C Kachelhoffer as Convenor of the Committee on European Education.
The document is also inscribed with a note to the St Stithians Headmaster.

This volume contains a report on the Official Opening of the College and the laying of the Foundation Stone. The front cover features a photograph of the then Chairman of the Association presenting a trophy to Gilbert Tucker who accepted it on behalf of the College.
The identity of the presenter of the trophy remained unknown for many years. In November 2017 the archivist was contacted by Clive Sherman who was on a visit to South Africa. He had a copy of the photograph of his father presenting the trophy and came to find out "if St Stithians still existed". Needless to say, he was delighted to find out that it did. The College was delighted to finally be able to identify the person in the photograph.

The date of this Prospectus is estimated from the contents: it refers back to the opening of the College in 1953 and the fees are still quoted in sterling. (South Africa changed its monetary system from sterling to Rands in 1960 and later issues reflect this.)
