Sans titre1953 The Cornubian v.45, September 1953
This volume contains a report on the Official Opening of the College and the laying of the Foundation Stone. The front cover features a photograph of the then Chairman of the Association presenting a trophy to Gilbert Tucker who accepted it on behalf of the College.
The identity of the presenter of the trophy remained unknown for many years. In November 2017 the archivist was contacted by Clive Sherman who was on a visit to South Africa. He had a copy of the photograph of his father presenting the trophy and came to find out "if St Stithians still existed". Needless to say, he was delighted to find out that it did. The College was delighted to finally be able to identify the person in the photograph.

Sans titre1959c St Stithians College Prospectus
The date of this Prospectus is estimated from the contents: it refers back to the opening of the College in 1953 and the fees are still quoted in sterling. (South Africa changed its monetary system from sterling to Rands in 1960 and later issues reflect this.)
Extracts from letters written by E M Harris (one of four Founder Members of Staff of the College) to his sister, Lilian, in England between January 1957 and May 1961.

Sans titreFormal portrait photograph of Leake. It is dated from the same image as used on his campaign card for his candidacy for the 1920 Transvaal provincial election. At this time, Leake would have been 51 years old.
Sans titreThe coat of arms is placed adjacent to the programme detailed in item 009 and is presumed to have come either from the event or from Leake's time as Consul. Leake served as the Norwegian Consul from 1928 - 1938.
